He organized the first Heart Failure Clinic in Greece.
He participated catalytically in the promotion of Cardiology in Greece with memorable milestones, the initiation of heart transplants, the Mechanical Assistance of the heart and the integration of Primary Angioplasty in the daily practice.
Honorary Award in 2017 from the Hellenic Society of Cardiology including 8 other Professors of Cardiology who played a prominent role in Cardiology in Greece.
He is the founder of the NGO “KEDAS International Solidarity and Cooperation Center Sts Kosmas and Damianos” having in its assets the construction, equipment, staffing and care for the long-term operation of two hospitals in sub-Saharan Africa (Uganda and Tanzania).
Dr. Jay W. Mason
Emeritus Professor of Cardiology, University of Utah, former President of the Department of Medicine, University of Kentucky.

Chris Mortis
Greek-American Biotechnologist, holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.
Participation in the design and construction of a wide range of devices used in medical practice, with a remarkable contribution to the design and construction of the world’s first fully independent artificial heart (Abiomed) and Kantrowitz LVAD (LVAD Technologies).
